Autism and Trains

If there’s something I, as someone with autism, can appreciate, it’s traveling to see some familiar places or discovering somewhere new. This is something I’ve been working on for the last few months. If you can fixate on one thing, I can fixate on traveling and being on the trains. If there’s something that will definitely make a person focus on something like autism or any other challenge, it’s traveling by train. I am working on the autism spectrum. My favorite things to ride on, if they are available, are trains. So the train is one of my favorite sensory things for me. That’s why I love Amtrak as a transportation option to travel by. For me, traveling by train, I can relax and not worry about traffic. It is so easy to use the Amtrak system. There is a ticket agent at the ticket window to help me. You can take the train to New York, Boston, Miami, Washington D.C., New Orleans, and Chicago. There are many reasons why people fixate on something. You can’t blame them, it’s human nature. Traveling by train can take you just about anywhere. I love the sights and sounds on the train.
